Chateau Croizet-Bages, like many other wines from Pauillac, is located on the famous plateau of Bages. In 1853, two years before the 1855 classification, Chateau Croizet Bages became the property of the family Calvé, which somewhat changed the brand that became: Chateau Calvé Croizet-Bages, until the end of the 1934. It was at this time that Paul Quié purchased this wine, which has since remained in the same family. For about twenty years, the vineyard has gone through a rebuilding phase, this long work is now completed. Until the 1986 harvest, only an old concrete vats existed. Since then new premises were built to improve the quality of winemaking. Old vines of twenty years and a traditional vinification can get a fruity wine, round and easy to drink. Paul Quié heirs also own the domain of Chateau Rauzan-Gassies in Margaux, second classified growth in 1855, and the estate of Bel-Orme and chateau Tronquoy-de-Lalande.
