Rully Les Cailloux Rois Mages (Domaine) 2022

The wine

Les Cailloux gets its minerality from its pebbly terroir; the Chardonnay plants’ roots have to dig deep into the soil to find nutrition. Vinification and élevage are carried out on fine lees in oak casks, lending the wine a certain generosity. This Bourgogne blanc delivers delicious notes of dried fruits, white flowers, acacia and vanilla. Full and long on the palate, this elegant wine comes into its own with refined dishes of fish or white meat.

About the Producer Domaine Rois Mages

Domaine des Rois Mages was created by Burgundian Anne-Sophie Debavelaere in 1984, starting with an estate in Rully in the Côte Chalonnaise. She has since expanded into Bouzeron and Beaune. The domain now grows 10 hectares of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Aligoté with integrated farming. After harvest, the grapes are meticulously sorted pressed and vinified in either oak barrels or stainless-steel vats. The wines are matured in oak barrels.
