Côtes du Rhône Loï Domaine Saladin 2022

Intensity
This Côtes du Rhône is named after the person who made it, Louis Saladin. It is also a tribute to Saint Louis who was an adversary of Saladin during the 12th-century Crusades. The berries are harvested by hand and undergo a short period of semi-carbonic maceration (a typical technique in Beaujolais for preserving a wine’s fruity notes) before vinification and nine months of maturation in concrete vats. The Grenache, Carignan and Syrah in the final wine make for a delicious blend, bursting with ripe fruit and sweet spice notes.
