Welcome to iDealwine.com, the Internet wine sales specialist Incorporated in 2000, iDealwine offers a wide and exclusive range of wines and vintages coming from the main producing regions, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the best buying / selling conditions. Our services are accessible to anyone, individuals as well as business customers. They combine information on fine wines, trading (buy / sell side) and advice. iDealwine offers you a wide range of services : - Value your cellar by through the “wine quotations” section, which provides you with a free access to 300,000 wine quotations - Buy your wines through the main wine auctions that take place in France and in Europe– either through the pre-bid system (organized prior to the sale) or by placing bids directly during the on-line sales organized by auction houses on iDealwine’s website. - Benefit from the best purchase conditions when buying wines through Fixed Price Sales or through “Offre iDéale” special offers. - iDealwine gives you the opportunity to sell your wines very easily to a unique community of fine wine lovers. (This wine selling service is open to French residents only). - iDealwine provides a range of tools, based on market trends and designed to help you manage your cellar and take the right buy/sell decisions : indices, key-figures, newsletters. To access these services you only need to register as a member of iDealwine (subscription free). Why and how would I register on iDealwine ? Registering as a member of iDealwine is simple, quick and FREE! As a registered member of iDealwine, you can access the following services: - WINE QUOTATIONS : a free database covering 300,000 wine quotations - BIDDING : remote bidding in the most important wine auctions held in France (300 each year) - BUYING in Fixed Price Sales and through OFFRES IDEALES : the best way to access the best producers wine at excellent purchase conditions - SELLING : a free appraisal of your bottles and the best conditions to sell them trough auctions - FIND-A-LOT service : automatic e-mails when your favourite wines come up at auctions - CELLAR MANAGEMENT : on-line setting-up, valuing and management of your cellar Our services are accessible to anyone, individuals as well as business customers. As soon as you are registered as a member of iDealwine, you can access at any time to you personalized space by clicking on “My iDealwine”, in order to access to all our services and benefit from our special offers. REGISTER NOW As an individual customer As a business customer What are the iDealwine wine quotations based on ? The “wine quotations” section provides you with a free access to 300,000 wine quotations, covering a wide range of wines, appellations and vintages. The prices listed in this section are based on public wine auction results, stored in the database from 1992 up to now. More than 1,000 wines are referenced, covering a minimum of 30 vintages for each wine. These prices are regularly updated with each new auction result. The prices shown include the auction house fees (hammer price + buyer’s premium). iDealwine quotations are released in specialized business and wine magazines such as La Revue du Vin de France (monthly chronicle). What are the different types of sales available on iDealwine ? iDealwine offers a remote bidding service in the major French and European wine auctions. It also provides the possibility of buying wine at through Fixed Price Sales or special offers (“Offres iDéales”). • Physical auction sales : on iDealwine you can browse the catalogues of future wine auctions. During the week preceding the auction, iDealwine collects on-line “pre-bids”. At the close of the “pre-bid” period, iDealwine retains the highest bid for each lot. iDealwine will then bid at the auction on behalf of its customers, within the price range set by the highest bidder. After the sale, customers have their wines delivered or retrieve their bottles from iDealwine’s premises. • On-Line Auctions : remote public wine auctions are regularly conducted electronically by French auction companies on iDealwine website. The catalogue is released on iDealwine, customers can place on-line bids. At the close of the auction, the highest bidder on each lot automatically becomes the buyer of the lot. • Fixed Price Sales : this type of sales is regularly organised on iDealwine. No successive bidding is possible, each lot being sold at a fixed price. General or regional Fixed Price Sales (Rhône Valley Sale, Alsace wines Sales, …) are conducted on iDealwine for a very short period of time (a few days only). • Special offers - Offres iDéale iDealwine “Offre iDeale” service gives you each month the opportunity to buy a choice of wines directly coming from selected vineyards with limited production and distribution. Bidding on iDealwine Physical auctions - Pre-bid system [logo] - On iDealwine you can browse the catalogues of future wine auctions during the week preceding the auction. iDealwine releases these catalogues on its website and organizes on-line “pre-bids”. - Bidding is free, you only need to register as a member of iDealwine (registration is free). - iDealwine collects your pre-bids on its site. This pre-bid period ends a few hours or the day before the actual wine auction takes place. - At the close of the “pre-bid” period, iDealwine retains the highest bid for each lot. - If you are the best bidder for a specific lot, you are advised by e-mail that iDealwine will bid on your behalf within the price range you have set. - Prior to the sale, iDealwine will check all the lots you placed bids on and insure that the lot fits the catalogue description. - After the sale, you will receive an e-mail informing you of the final result of your bids. - If you have won one or several lots iDealwine will determine the total amount due by you: the auction bid price (which can be lower than you limit order) plus iDealwine’s commission (15,50%), covering transmission and execution of your bids. - When registering as a member, you are required to provide a valid credit card number. You can also choose to send us your bank details, in order to pay by wire transfer. - iDealwine provides a secured delivery service through COLISSIMO SUIVI. You can also retrieve the bottles yourself from iDealwine premises (we are located in Colombes, near Paris-La Défense) or have them retrieved by the delivery company of your choice, in which case iDealwine will charge no any delivery fees. On-Line Auctions [logo] Remote public wine auctions are regularly conducted electronically by French auction companies on iDealwine website. - The catalogue of the on-line auction is released on iDealwine, customers can place bids until the close of the auction (date and hour being indicated on each lot description). - At the close of the auction, the highest bidder on each lot automatically becomes the winner of the lot. In addition of the bid amount, he will pay public auction fees: 145,50% (including VAT) of the hammer price. - To pay your lots you can use your credit card or pay by wire transfer. - iDealwine provides a secured delivery service through COLISSIMO SUIVI. You can also retrieve the bottles yourself from iDealwine premises (we are located in Colombes, near Paris-La Défense) or have them retrieved by the delivery company of your choice, in which case iDealwine will not charge any delivery fees. What is a Fixed Price Sale ? • What is a Fixed Price Sale : this type of sales is regularly organised on iDealwine website. A catalogue of the sale is available on-line for a few days. Unlike auction sales, no successive bidding is possible, each lot being sold at a fixed price. General or regional Fixed Price Sales (Rhône Valley Sale, Alsace wines Sales, …) are conducted on iDealwine for a very short period of time (a few days only). First in, first served : to make sure you get the wines you area interested in, you must place your order as soon as possible. Ounce you place an order on a lot, you receive an e-mail confirming the transaction. After the sale, you will receive a global e-mail linking to the post-sale invoice. • What are the fees due on a Fixed Sale Price ? On each lot you acquire through a Fixed Price Sale, iDealwine charges a 15,50% (including VAT) buyer's premium. What are the garantees for the buyer ? IDealwine garantees that the wine sold through Fixed Price Sales precisely correspond to he description showed on the catalogue. In case of any problem, you should contact iDealwine customers service. Do I need to be registered as a member of iDealwine to buy through Fixed Price Sales ? Fixed Price Sales are only accessible to iDealwine members. These members must have chosen their means of payment (Credit Card, wire transfer). Is there an exhibition of the wines offered in Fixed Price Sales ? Some of the lots being sold in Fixed Price Sales show a photo of the bottles. For any further information concerning the lots, please ask our customers service. When will the wines bought in a Fixed Price Sale be delivered ? Unless special notice, the wine will be delivered at regular delivery conditions. No lot will be delivered or retrieved before it is full paid. See iDealwine delivery conditions [lien vers Organizing the delivery of your wine Can I combine the delivery of wines bought in a Fixed Price Sale with other bottles bought at auction, or through a special offer ? You can combine the delivery of all wines bought during a monthly period of time. If you wish to combine the shipping of different buys, please contact our customers service before paying your invoice, by calling us on : +33/1.56.05.86.10. Can I sell my wines in a Fixed Price Sale ? Yes, you can sale your bottles at a fixed price. This wine selling service is open to French residents only. Bidding on iDealwine (in wine auctions or in Fixed Price Sales) is free of charge, so you don’t have to pay anything until you win a lot. In this case you will pay a 15,50% (including VAT) commission based on the bidding price. For example, if you win a bid at 100€, the commission is 15,50€, and you will have to pay 115,50€ (excluding delivery charges). This commission covers: - The catalogue release on iDealwine website - Pre-bids or on-line bids collecting - Our presence at the sale to control the lots during the pre-auction exhibition and to bid on your behalf, within your limit price order - Retrieving your winning lots to our premises - Combining these lots with those you may have bought in other sales, in order to ship them to you or have them picked up by you from our premises. Organizing the delivery of your wine Buyers can choose between three different delivery methods. They can also retrieve the bottles themselves from iDealwine’s premises without additional charges. iDealwine undertakes to have your wines delivered to you in the best conditions. Your bottles are packaged in a suitable, secure and insulated container, and protected, as well as insured against transportation risks before shipping to the address you have chosen. Nota Bene : Special offers can sometimes induce specific delivery conditions (change in the delays and countries of delivery). These conditions are precisely detailed in the special offer. * Except for weekends and holidays, calculated from the date when payment is recorded as received. The indicated rate is applicable per case of 12 bottles (75cl) or per case of 3 magnums (150cl). The rate applies to individual units starting with the double-magnum. (It isn’t possible to put different bottle sizes together in the same case). • Delays or damage [cf General Terms of Service] • Door Delivery Our clients living in Paris (75) and in the Hauts de Seine (92) can choose to have their wine hand delivered to them. They will be charged 35€ for a delivery of up to 10 cases of wine. The delivery will take place either in the morning (9.00 – 12.00 A.M.) or in the afternoon (2.00 – 6.00 P.M.) within 12 working days following receipt of the payment. If you choose this method of delivery, please contact our customer service by e-mail or call us at +33 (0)1 56 05 86 14. • Delivery by a special courrier For those customers who want to have their wines delivered by a special courrier (UPS, etc), iDealwine will hold the wines ready to be retrieved after a period of 12 working days, following receipt of the payment. If you choose this method of delivery, please contact our customer service by e-mail or call us at +33 (0)1 56 05 86 14. • Retrieving your bottles from iDealwine’s premises You can also retrieve the bottles yourself at iDealwine’s premises after a period of 12 working days, following receipt of the payment. Our office is located at 190, rue d’Estienne d’Orves, 92700 Colombes, (near Paris-La Défense) and opens from Monday to Friday, 9.00 A.M to 7.00 P.M. If you choose this free-of-charge method, please contact our customer service by e-mail or call us at +33 (0)1 56 05 86 14. We shall indicate you the date when your bottles are ready to be picked up. In order to avoid wasting time waiting for your wine, please contact us at least 24 hours before coming to pick up your bottles. • Combining orders We can combine orders if you have new bids pending in an auction that closes within 5 days following the date of your first order, as long as this order has been paid for. This way you won’t be charged additional shipping fees for the new order within the limits of the “open” case (12 bottles, 6 magnums, or 3 double-magnums) and your lots will be combined in the same shipment. • Change your delivery address If you wish to have the wines sent to a different address, you must change the address in your personal “My iDealwine” section (My iDealwine > My bids > Settlement & Delivery), before paying for your invoice. You can also add a special gift message. Means of payment on iDealwine To pay your winning bids, you can choose between different means of payment: • Credit / debit card For the management of the payment by credit/debit card, iDealwine uses the Secured Payment solution of the Jet Multimedia group: SAFETIS. iDealwine is not aware of the debit/credit card details of its clients. These data are encrypted via the SSL protocol (Secured Socket Layer) and are directly routed towards the SAFETIS secured server. Besides, your purchases are 100% garanteed by FIANET against any fraudulous use of your credit card within a limit of 7,622€. • Wire transfer You can choose to pay by wire transfer. In this case, when registering, you must fill in the payment form and send it back to us with your bank details and a photocopy of our ID card. This form is available in the “My iDealwine” section. Secured payment Payments on iDealwine using a credit card are entirely secured. For settlement by credit/debit card, iDealwine uses the Secured Payment solution of the Jet Multimedia Group: SAFETIS. iDealwine is not given the debit/credit card details of its clients. These data are encrypted via the SSL protocol (Secured Socket Layer) and are directly routed towards the SAFETIS secured server. Besides, your purchases are garanteed by FIANET against any fraudulous use of your credit card within a limit of 7,622€. This guarantee covers your losses, including costs due to your bank. Selling wine iDealwine gives you the opportunity to sell your wines very easily to a unique community of fine wine lovers. Your wines can either be sold through on-line auctions, regularly organized by auction houses on the site, or through the Fixed Price Sales organized by iDealwine. This wine selling service is open to French residents only. In order to get a free appraisal for the wines you wish to sell, please send us the list of your cellar. Within a few days, you will receive a free appraisal for your bottles, prices being linked to our wine quotations database and showing a low and high estimate for each bottle, as well as the reserve price we suggest. Your wines can either be sold through on-line auctions, regularly organized by auction houses on the site, or through the Fixed Price Sales organized by iDealwine. • If you chose to sell your wines in an on-line auction, the auction house organizing the on-line auction on iDealwine will draft up and send you a consignment form. This document will contain, among other items, the list of your bottles and the reserve price for each lot offered for sale at auction. • If you chose to sell your wines in a Fixed Price Sale, and as soon as you accept these prices, iDealwine will draft up and send you a consignment form. This document will contain, among other items, the list of your bottles and the price for each lot offered for sale. We will arrange for your wine to be picked up or shipped as the case may be. The shipment will be at your charge. Your wine will be stored in a completely secure location until it is put up for auction, following the temperature and hygrometry that are suitable for the storage of fine wines. Within 30 days after the close of the sale, you will receive payment for your wine, minus sales fees (15,50 % VAT included) covering storage, appraisal, publishing in the catalogue, advertising and selling through the website. For example, if a lot was sold for 100€, sales fees will amount 15,50€. You will receive 84.50€. Selling fees** When you sell wine through iDealwine, either in on-line auctions or through Fixed Price Sales, sales fees of 15,50 % VAT included apply. They cover storage, appraisal, publishing in the catalogue, advertising and saling through the website. For example, if a lot is sold for 100€, sales fees will amount 15,50€. You will receive 84.50€.
