Information on Château Troplong Mondot ** :
After 24 months of maturing in wooden barrels, the wine shows a very intense deep colour. It offers complex flavours of liquorice, spices and black currant. It is concentrated and usually promises to age well in cellar. The classification of Saint-Emilion recognized in 2006 what was to be recognized long before: Troplong-Mondot is now a Premier Grand Cru Classé B.
