Château Haut Cadet 1996
The wine
This cuvée is made with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon cultivated on clay and silt soils. The berries are harvested by hand and fermented in concrete or stainless steel vats before maturation in new and second fill barriques. The wine reveals beautifully supple fruit and a pleasant tannic structure which gives it good ageing potential.
About the Producer Haut Cadet
The domain was founded in 1965 and has belonged to the Gaye family since 2015. The latter also owns château grand Corbin Manuel which is located nearby. This means it has about 26 hectares of vines.
