The wine

A Cambus 31 year old distilled on 31 December 1964 and bottled on 23 April 1996 by Scottish bottler Signatory Vintage. This is a blend of two casks that produced 448 bottles. Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington, who previously worked at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh, where he would select casks specially for the hotel. In 2002, he bought the Edradour distillery in Pitlochry, in the Highlands of Scotland and moved Signatory Vintage vintage to the site, including the warehouses opposite the distillery.

About the Producer Cambus

Cambus is a Scottish distillery founded in 1806 in Alloa in the Lowlands of Scotland. Initially equipped to produce malt, it became a grain distillery in 1836 when then owner John Moubray installed a pair of Stein patent stills. The installation of a Coffey still in 1851 further reinforced the distillery’‘s desire to produce a high-quality grain whisky. In 1877, it was one of the founding distilleries of DCL (now Diageo). It was mothballed on several occasions before permanently closing its doors in 1993.
