The wine

A Lochside distilled in 1981 and bottled at cask strength in 2010 after 29 years of hogshead maturation. The Whisky Agency is a German independent bottler founded by Carsten Ehrlich, who is also behind the Limburg Whisky Fair. The Whisky Agency has bottled many high-flying single casks for various collections, including Liquid sun, The Perfect Dram, Private Stock and Liquid Library, often in collaboration with other players in the world of spirits. A limited edition of 183 bottles.

About the Producer Lochside

The Lochside distillery was founded in 1957 by the controversial Joseph Hobbs (also the owner of the Ben Nevis distillery, to which Lochside owed its operating model) and closed in 1992. It was mainly used to produce the blended whisky Sandy Macnab’‘s. Producing both grain and malt whisky on site, it was also one of very few distilleries in Scotland to produce single blended whiskies.
