Every year, La Maison du Whisky has the immense privilege of being able to release casks of Blanton’’s in its creation catalogue, bottled at the strength of its choice. This year, the selection for the Antipodes creation catalogue brings together four new versions: two blue France editions bottled at 50% and two cask strength green Paris editions, released exclusively for the French market. Two additional casks were distributed exclusively in Singapore: the Singapour red editions bottled from casks 4 and 28. In parallel to this, La Maison du Whisky is also launching a grey Whisky.fr edition: a single barrel bottled at 97° proof (43.5% ABV) in reference to the year 1997, when, 25 years ago, www.whisky.fr was first published online, becoming in the process a true pioneer in the world of whisky as it ushered in the new millennium.
These single barrels were all matured in Warehouse H, the most famous building of all 114 owned by Kentucky-based Buffalo Trace. Warehouse H is enveloped in metal, leading its whiskeys to mature in a very unique fashion, amidst major temperature shifts.
This auction therefore sees the largest annual series ever seen from Blanton’’s, made up of the seven casks selected by La Maison du Whisky for 2022. A complete collection it would be difficult to recreate.

About the Producer Buffalo Trace Sazerac Company

Founded in 1792, the Buffalo Trace Distillery is located in Frankfort, in the state of Kentucky. Owned by the Sazerac group, it has been known under several names including George T. Stagg and Old Fire Copper (OFC), and is thought to be the oldest distillery in operation in the United States. It produces an eponymous brand of bourbon, Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, as well as numerous other brands including William Larue Weller, Thomas H. Handy, Georges T. Stagg and the famous Pappy Van Winkle.
