Information
Agathe Bursin took over plots of family vines in 2000 that were first planted by her great-grandparents as a polyculture back in the 19th century. This winemaker who has this wine flowing through her blood studied viniculture and the legal aspect of growing vines and crafting wine. She creates beautiful, fine Rieslings that reflect the terroirs that produce them.
A large part of the seven-hectare property is located in the Zinnkoepflé Grand Cru and the estate gained organic certification in 2020. In the winery, intervention during vinification is kept to a minimum and the white wines are matured in stainless steel, while the reds are aged in barrels that have already been used several times. The amount of sulphur added remains reasonable, even for the sweet wines. Due to its size, production is small but highly worth trying.
