Armand Rousseau

C'est en 1902, à sa majorité qu'Armand Rousseau fonde ce domaine en héritant de plusieurs parcelles de vigne situées sur la commune de Gevrey-Chambertin en Bourgogne. Au fil des années, il rachète des parcelles classées Grand Cru en Clos de la Roche, Mazis Charmes ou encore Chambertin. En 1954, il achète le 1er cru Clos-Saint-Jacques au nom de son fils Charles. C'est désormais Eric, le fils de Charles, et petit-fils d'Armand qui est à la tête du domaine. Ne produisant aucun vin blanc, le domaine s'est imposé avec ses cuvées légendaires telles que le Lavaux Saint Jacques ou le Chambertin comme l'une des icônes de Bourgogne. On trouve sans doute ici, les plus belles expressions du pinot noir.
