  • This is a charming, very authentic wine as is reflected by its beautiful colour and aromas of red fruit. In a return to tradition, Château Clarke has produced a white wine called "Le Merle Blanc de Clarke" since 1993, which was very popular at the beginning of the 20th century.

Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired two properties in 1973: Château Malmaison in Moulis and the adjoining Château Clarke. Baron Edmond immediately initiated a substantial investment programme, and resuscitated Château Clarke in the literal sense of the term. A wine of tremendous class is produced as a result of a respect for tradition combined with highly modern vinification and ageing techniques.
