  • This wine is one of the richest and most opulent in the appellation. Very fruity, revealing notes of sweet spices and vanilla, it is a remarkably complex wine.

Located on the highest point of the municipalities of Fargues and Sauternes, the Château Rieussec neighbours Yquem and is home to a contiguous vineyard planted in sandy clay or gravel clay soil. This cru's reputation bears testimony to the exceptional quality of its wines. The latter feature a well-defined golden hue and are complex, powerful and concentrated.

Tasting notes - Extract
"For sure, it demonstrates a lot of vanilla from the new oak on the nose, complemented by almond, French patisserie and touches of white peach. [...] The palate is very well balanced, with thickly textured honeyed fruits that lacquer the inside of the mouth and stay there." N. Martin (02/2015)
