  • This cuvée's origins lie in the marly clay soil of the time-honoured vineyards of the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin, in the north of the Côte de Nuits. Its particularly dark appearance exudes a complex, refined bouquet marked by fresh red berry notes. The palate, with its additional power, offers something of a contrast. All these attributes, combined with its great length in the mouth, combine to make this a VERY great wine for keeping and serving with refined game dishes.

Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot located in Vosne-Romanée, was created by Jack Confuron in 1964. Today it is managed by his sons, Jean-Pierre and Yves, both enologists. The vineyard extends over 11 hectares in Charmes-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Echézeaux, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée. The winemaking is done with entire bunches of grapes, harvested to perfect maturity, producing absolutely remarkable Burgundy wines, which are very fine, frank and complex. The grapes are harvested when very ripe but the wines are always perfectly balanced. The domaine is at the top of the Côte de Nuits.
