Le domaine Arlaud offre ici une cuvée de gevrey-chambertin empreinte d‘arômes de fruits et de notes plus animales, tout en conservant une belle délicatesse en bouche. N'hésitez pas à le conserver en cave quelques années. More info

Gevrey Chambertin is produced on a parcel of about one hectare from vines that are around 30 years old. It is élevaged in oak for 14 to 18 months (25% new). Its nose offers up a blend of meaty and fruity aromas (blackcurrant in particular) with refined woody notes. It has a very delicate texture on the palate, refined tannins, a fresh quality and excellent persistence. With its powerful flavours and noticeable (albeit well-blended) tannins, this wine pairs perfectly with game.

Gevrey-Chambertin Arlaud serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Médaillons de chevreuil en croûte de champignons, Bécasse rôtie, Pièce de boeuf grillée ou poêlée.

    Information about domain Arlaud

The origins of Domaine Arlaud date back to World War II when Joseph Arlaud, from the Ardėche, met and married a lady from Bourgogne, Renée Amiot, whose family owned a vineyard. The couple developed and expanded the domaine. In 1982, their son, Hervé Arlaud took over and enlarged the domaine further, while developing bottle sales. Today, the third generation (Bertille, Cyprien and Romain) manage the operation and do very high quality work. The 15 hectare vineyard is certified organic and biodynamic and includes the very fine terroirs of Bonnes-Mares, Charmes-Chambertin and also Clos de la Roche. The vines and soil are well worked (ploughed by horses) and the élevage is increasingly controlled, producing magnificent, very pure wine with remarkable finesse. This area is widely acclaimed by critics and loved by fans
