Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret today uses, in the purest Burgundy tradition, a wide vineyard, extending over the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, and covering the most prestigious villages (Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, Vougeot, Nuits Saint Georges and Savigny les Beaune). The heart of the farm remains in Vosne-Romanée. Vincent Mongeard, Jean's son, strives not only to maintain and enhance the family heritage, but also to extend it as soon as an opportunity arises, to expand the domain’s range. The farm currently has about 30 hectares, spread over 33 appellations producing white Burgundys and aligotés but also, and mainly, red wines from the best districts of the Côte. The vineyard is located mid-slope, south-east facing, on clay-limestone soil. This domain produces very fine cuvées, classy and delicate, with superb velvety textures.
Coming from about 55-year-old vines, this cuvée is aged in barrels which take two wines. On the nose, the wine exudes small red berries, (strawberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant, spices and even notes of undergrowth. The palate is very fruity, ample, rich and fresh but also well structured with closed but promising tannins.

Bourgogne Cuvée Sapidus Mongeard-Mugneret (Domaine) serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Échine de porc basse température, Oie farcie rôtie, Filet mignon de veau.
