Produced from Pinot Noir grapes grown on the Volnay side of Pommard, Les Chanlins enjoys an exceptional terroir with a soil rich in iron minerals. A neighbour of the famous Les Rugiens premier cru, its output is very exclusive – a mere 600 bottles are sold every year. The wine is subtle, elegant and refined, and the terroir expresses itself with a number of mineral notes. The palate has a memorably attractive, complex length with smooth tannins and spicy aromas.

Pommard 1er Cru Les Chanlins A.-F. Gros serve at a temperature of 15°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Civet de chevreuil du chef Frédéric Gauthier, Faisan rôti à la bourgeoise, Saint-Marcellin.

    Côtes de Nuits connoisseurs will tell you that behind the name Gros is a mosaic of intertwined domains. The original domain (domain Louis Gros), was divided between his three children, which started the Gros Frère et Soeur, François Gros and Jean Gros domains at the beginning of the 1970s. Within the Jean Gros domain, Anne-Françoise Gros manages her own parcels under the Domaine A-F Gros.
