A wine typical of the area that reveals an unparalleled lemony delicacy. More info

This wine trading company, founded in 1831, knew how to travel through the centuries and has kept the company within the same family. One of founder’s descendants, Albéric Bichot, has produced the estate’s wine since 1996. Since then, the company has found the spark it had years ago by taking care with its ageing process and the quality of its grapes as well as keeping quality consistent. And all that is thanks to careful cultivation of their grapes.
The estate’s Puligny-Montrachet is aged for between 14 and 16 months in oak barrels of which 35% are new oak. An ageing process that imparts delicate and subtle notes of apricot, sweet spices, orange blossom, bitter orange, vanilla and chocolate to this wine. When tasting this wine, it can be characterised by the delicacy typical of this terroir’s wine as well as by the simplicity and openness of its finish, long and fine.

Puligny-Montrachet Albert Bichot serve at a temperature of 14°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Huître à la gelée de cassis, Lapin farci à la figue, gratins de carottes.

    Information about domain Albert Bichot

Albert Bichot is an illustrious maison of Burgundy. The family settled in Burgundy in 1350 but it was only in the 19th century that it became interested in the vine and vineyards. In 1831, Bernard Bichot developed a trading house in his name. Since 1996, Alberic Bichot (6th generation) has been working to raise the quality of wines produced. He acquired many plots, meaning that the maison now has 100 hectares of vineyards. Here we find the Clos Frantin on the Côte de Nuits, the Domaine du Pavillon and the Domaine Adélie on the Chalonnaise coast as well as the Domaine Long Depaquit in Chablis. These wines are certified as organic. At the same time, the maison carries out its trading business by purchasing only carefully selected grapes. The wines are all vinified in Beaune under the leadership of the very talented Alain Serveaux.
