La parcelle de Côte Blonde est la plus prestigieuse du domaine Rostaing. Suavité et longueur en bouche parachèvent l'oeuvre du terroir. Tout simplement splendide. More info

This Côte Blonde parcel is a perfect illustration of the appellation's excellence. Its poor, mineral soil is dominated by mica and silica. Yields are low (around 35 hl/ha), and the proportion of new wood in the cellar is restricted to enable the terroir to express itself. Its long élevage of around two years enables it to develop aromas of mild tobacco, cinnamon and violet. In the mouth, the tannins are deep and refined, and the length is exceptional.

Côte-Rôtie Côte Blonde René Rostaing serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Canard aux pêches de vigne, Bécasse rôtie aux raisins, Gigot d agneau à la provençale.

Information about domain René Rostaing

In addition to his own domain in Ampuis in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie, René Rostaing, took over his father-in-law Albert Derviux's property which was one of the largest in the region. These very high-quality vineyards include 7 hectares in the Côte-Rôtie (with 2 hectares in Landonne), just over one hectare in the Côte Blonde and a plot just next to La Turque de Guigal in the Côte Brune. The estate produces three single parcel cuvées which are matured for 24 months in barrels that have been used for several wines. René Rostaing also owns vineyard plots in Condrieu and the Coteaux du Languedoc. He practises sustainable viticulture and has made a name for himself as a very talented winegrower whose wines are highly sought-after all over the world.
