Un châteauneuf vinifié dans les règles de l'art, à déguster dans une grande diversité de contextes. More info

Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre that make up the cuvée are from sixty-six-year-old vines that have benefited from a clay and chalk-rich soil. Harvested, then destemmed they were then placed in concrete vats. André, his wife Marina and their daughter Alexandra then move on to pump-over and rack and return during fermentation then leave the grapes to macerate for forty days. The wine is then aged for a year. The wine is characterised by a frank and clean attack. It is ethereal on the palate. On the nose, complex aromas abound that oscillate between black fruit, spicy notes and some woody notes. Flavoursome and well balanced, it pairs well with delicate dishes such as marinated meat or mature cheeses.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Jean-Pierre & Thierry Usseglio serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Viandes rouges grillées, Gigot à la provençale, Côtes de porc aux olives.

Peak: Drink until 2020

  • What the experts say...

"The 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape a blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and the rest Mourvedre and Cinsault, aged in tank (20%) and old wood foudres (80%), reveals classic Provencal typicity with its notes of sweet black cherries, lavender, licorice, roasted herbs, and meat. Soft and lush with a luxurious mouthfeel as well as a stunningly silky texture" Souce : R. Parker (10/2008)
