One of the most beautiful expressions of the Côte Brune terroir. More info

A true favourite, this cuvée comes from some of the finest terroirs in the Côte Rôtie. Made entirely from Serine, an ancient variety related to Syrah, the harvest is vinified without destemming to bring more freshness. The wines are matured for a year in barrels (30% new). No filtering is carried out before bottling. In the glass, we feel the character of this fantastic terroir, firstly through the density and depth of the colour. The nose gives off aromas of blueberry, cherry and violet. On the palate, the wine is perfectly balanced between its tannins and the acidic underscore. Leave it in the cellar for a few years in order for it to reach its peak.

Côte-Rôtie Côte Brune Saint Cosme serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Bœuf aux truffes, Jambon fumé, Caille rôtie aux châtaignes.

Peak: Drink until 2032

    Information about domain Saint Cosme

The historic Château de Saint Cosme in Gigondas has the site of a Gallo-Roman winery, complete with vats cut into the rock, in its grounds. The property has been in the same family since the end of the 15th century and 15 generations of wine makers have followed on from each other. Today, the vineyard comprises 22 hectares of old vines (more than 60 years old) and yields low volumes of grapes. The vines enjoy a cool climate that gives the wines their balance, finesse and freshness. The domain was following the principles of organic farming as far back as the 1970s and today it avoids herbicides, chemical fertilisers, pesticides and synthetic products completely. The Château supplements its own output with a négoce business, working with winegrowers who are passionate about their trade. Wines from this domain are fairly representative of their appellation and have plenty of depth.
