Made from century-old vines and younger vines, this fruity, tannic Cornas with peppery notes is the perfect accompaniment to a rack of lamb. More info

This 100% Syrah Cornas comes from a granite terroir with poor and filtering soil. The very old vines (planted in 1919) that this wine is made from are located at the base of the hillside, and cover an area of 2.5 hectares. A plot with vines which are about 15 years old (4.3 hectares) makes up the rest. The yield is around 37 hectolitres per hectare.
After the manual harvests, the grapes are destemmed and vinified in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. Racking and punching down are carried out. Maceration lasts for 3 weeks. The maturation then takes place for 16 months in barrels (25% of which are new). This tannic wine, full of fruitiness and peppery notes, will go perfectly with a rack of lamb.

Cornas Champelrose Domaine Courbis serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Cœur de veau, Bœuf bourguignon, Petit salé aux lentilles.
