L'alliance du terroir de Condrieu et des arômes du viognier, donne une délicieuse cuvée parfaite à déguster dans les cinq années à venir. More info

This Condrieu is a selection from the "Chanson" parcel, cultivated on an arid, steep granite hillside. The Viognier grapes are destemmed before skin maceration and cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in the barrel, while malolactic fermentation (on fine lees) is in oak barrique barrels. Stéphane Montez stirs the lees once every 6 weeks and matures his wine for 18 months in oak demi-muid barrels. Lovers of Condrieu's primary aromas will be able to enjoy it in five years' time. Otherwise, patience is required; wait 10 years in order to appreciate its tertiary aromas. This is a wine that works wonders with a pan-fried foie gras or a risotto of spring vegetables thanks to its fruity (pear, apricot) and indulgent (butter, toast) notes, with a very attractive tension.

Condrieu La Bonnette René Rostaing serve at a temperature of 12°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Filet mignon à la crème, Lotte au curry, Asperges à la sauce mousseline.

Peak: A boire jusqu'en 2034

Information about domain René Rostaing

In addition to his own domain in Ampuis in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie, René Rostaing, took over his father-in-law Albert Derviux's property which was one of the largest in the region. These very high-quality vineyards include 7 hectares in the Côte-Rôtie (with 2 hectares in Landonne), just over one hectare in the Côte Blonde and a plot just next to La Turque de Guigal in the Côte Brune. The estate produces three single parcel cuvées which are matured for 24 months in barrels that have been used for several wines. René Rostaing also owns vineyard plots in Condrieu and the Coteaux du Languedoc. He practises sustainable viticulture and has made a name for himself as a very talented winegrower whose wines are highly sought-after all over the world.
