A bottle crafted by a Beaujolais icon. More info

The Chiroubles vines of Domaine Daniel Bouland are planted on a steep slope of sandy soil with a rocky subsoil. The rootstock is quite old, and the north-east exposed vines have an average age of 50 years.
In the vineyard, Daniel Bouland works organically, and vinification methods in the winery are simple but meticulously observed. The grapes are vinified in whole harvests with a maceration lasting 10 to 12 days depending on the cuvée. The wine is matured in steel vats and foudres for 6 to 9 months, and Daniel uses minimal sulphur. The wine is not filtered, thus better preserving its aromas.
This cuvée is easy-drinking, being a light and silky Gamay. In certain vintages, it can be aged. Its nose marries fruity and flowery notes on a round and balanced palate.

Chiroubles Chatenay Daniel Bouland (Domaine) serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Magret de canard, Salade gourmande et toast de foie gras, Côte de bœuf sauce champignon.
