Low yields from recent vintages gave Anne and Jean-François Ganevat the brilliant idea of blending Beaujolais Gamay with native grape varieties to make this lovely, convivial wine. More info

As a result of the particularly low yields from recent vintages, Anne and Jean-François Ganevat had the idea of compensating for this shortage by turning to Beaujolais growers, who adopt a similar philosophy in their working practices: that is to say, a "nature first" philosophy. The couple has produced a deft blend of Gamay from this region with other Jura varieties such as Petit and Grand Béclan, Portugais Bleu, Geuche... and many others. Tasting reveals an attractive ruby colour with purplish hints, exuding an intense aromatic bouquet consisting of notes of black berries and sweet spices which are themselves enhanced by a beautiful mineral character. A wine that is an undeniably ideal accompaniment to convivial meals with friends.

Vin de France Y'a bon le Canon Anne et Jean-François Ganevat serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Nems au porc, Bourriol aux pommes de terre, Gratin franc-comptois.

Information about domain Anne et Jean-François Ganevat

Undisputed icon of the Jura, Jean-François Ganevat has made a reputation for himself as one of the region’s top producers. Having learnt the ropes with Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, he decided to create his own domain, which he farms organically and biodynamically. Reflecting Burgundian savoir-faire, he produces single-parcel micro cuvées. In the winery, his prefers a hands off approach, allowing the wine to express itself. Domain Anne et Jean-François Ganevat is the name of the négociant business set up by Jean-François and his wife. Quality is top priority, and the couple strive to produce wines in exactly the same way as at their own domain.
