A curious maceration wine made from Pinot gris; it is full and aromatic. More info

This is a surprising wine crafted by an emblematic figure of the Muscadet region. Classed as a Vin de France, it is the fruit of macerated Pinot gris, a varietal found mainly in Alsace and northern Italy. This cuvée comes from young vines grown organically and biodynamically in soil composed of silica, gneiss, and clay. The domain ploughs the soil to preserve its microbial life and to encourage the vines to push their roots deep. The grapes are harvested by hand in whole bunches.
Maceration takes one month in ovoid vats, a container that helps to preserve the organoleptic features of the varietal. The wine is then matured in the same vats, and the domain takes care not to add any sulphur.
In the glass this wine carried hints of pink. Its aromatic bouquet is marked by delicate notes of citrus, dried flowers, and white peach. We appreciate its light and slightly tannic profile, as well as its astringent, saline finish.

Vin de France Ordolia Bonnet-Huteau (Domaine) serve at a temperature of 12°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Terrine de saumon, Rillettes d'oie, Gougères au fromage.

    Information about domain Bonnet-Huteau

Domaine Bonnet-Huteau in La Chapelle-Heulin, in the very heart of Muscadet’s winemaking region and the Sèvre et Maine appellation, has been producing Muscadet for over 150 years. Today it is run by the Bonnet brothers, Jean-Jacques and Rémi. This 40 hectare vineyard has been certified organic since 2005 and there is separate winemaking for four parcels in order to highlight the nuances and subtlety of their respective terroirs. Producing white wines only, the domaine is mainly planted with Melon de Bourgogne. These wines are characterised by their great aromatic intensity.
