  • Duemani is produced entirely from Cabernet Franc, a variety which adapts well to the Tuscan climate. It is matured in French oak barrique barrels, either new or used once before. Aromas of blueberry, fresh herbs and wild flowers all make this an absolutely sublime wine. Rounded and velvety in the mouth, the finish is virtually a caress to the palate. An absolute must-try... if you haven't already.

Azienda Duemani owes its existence to the experience of Luca Attoma – one of the most famous oenologists in Italy, and consultant oenologist to Tua Rita, the first domaine to receive a 100/100 score from Robert Parker – and to his wife Elena Celli. They decided to produce an environmentally friendly, biodynamically cultivated wine. They are now Demeter certified and produce wines from Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah grape varieties. The soil, which is a blend of clay and stones, and therefore not very fertile, allows the wine to develop great purity and complexity, enhanced by its outstanding geographical location in a natural west-facing amphitheatre 200 metres above sea level.

Tasting notes - Extract
"Impenetrably deep crimson. Oak and chalky Cabernet Franc fruit in equal measures on the nose. Very youthful palate with lots of dark fruit, but nothing sweet or dense. Firm, ripe tannic grip on the finish. Well balanced for such a hot vintage." (Walter Speller juin 2015 pour Jancis Robinson)
