  • Elisabetta Foradori runs this biodynamically-operated domain located in Italy's Trentino region. She has worked wonders with an old local grape variety (Teroldego) in her wines, whose renown extends well beyond the borders of her country.

    Elisabetta Foradori belongs to the new generation of Italian winegrowers who have chosen to embrace environmentally friendly practices on their land. When her father passed away in 1984, Elisabetta Foradori, who was just 20 years old, took over the domaine. She raised the profile of Teroldego, the major black grape variety in the region. Disillusioned with the local emphasis on producing high volumes, she adopted biodynamic management practices in 2002, achieving Demeter certification in 2009, to restore a certain purity to her wines. Lastly, Elisabetta Foradori has recently attempted to enhance the reputation of another indigenous wine which had sunk into oblivion – Nosiola. As part of her ongoing quest to develop new identities for her wine, she even vinifies some of her cuvées in 400-litre terracotta amphorae.
