This expressive Barolo is created from a blend of grapes grown in four Morra terroirs. To be cellared for many years. More info

This Barolo is the result of blending Nebbiolo grapes grown in four different Barolo vineyards located in the village of Morra: Fossati, La Serra, Case Nere and Boilo. Most of the vines, which were planted in the 1980s, are harvested by hand at the end of September or the start of October. The grapes ferment for about a month in stainless steel tanks with the help of natural yeasts. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months.
The deep garnet wine reveals an expressive nose with black cherries, rose petals and spices. This velvety Barolo can spend many long years in the cellar ageing and would pair wonderfully with a duck breast cooked with spices.

Barolo DOCG del Comune di la Morra Roberto Voerzio serve at a temperature of 15°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Cailles aux raisins, Brie aux truffes, Brochette de porc.

Information about domain Roberto Voerzio

Roberto Voerzio, who belongs to a winemaking family, decided to go it alone in 1986 on a 2-hectare plot on the family vineyard. His domaine has gradually acquired a fine reputation for its quality wines, which offer a perfect combination of power and elegance. He is now one of the Barolo big hitters. Accomplished wine grower and skilful vintner Roberto Voerzio specialises in high-density planting and very low yields with a view to distilling the quintessence of his terroirs.
