A bomb of fruits and flowers!  More info

Daniel Jiménez-Landi is one of the three founders of Comando G, a domain found near to Madrid. The Las Uvas de la Ira cuvée is a single-varietal Grenache wine from the granite and sand soils found at the village of El Real de San Vicente. The parcels are, on average, 60 years old. This is a good bottle for discovering the domain, though this doesn't mean it receives any less care in the vines and the winery. After being picked by hand, the biodynamically-grown grapes are fermented in three different kinds of vats. The three are then blended together for a year-long maturation. This cuvée has a delicate nose of red cherries with floral notes. It is well-rounded and elegant on the palate, carrying notes of black fruit and strawberry. The tannins are defined but silky. Serve it at 16-18°C alongside stuffed courgettes or pepper confit.

Vinos de Madrid Daniel El Travieso S.L Las Uvas de la IRA serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Courgettes farcies, Canard rôti, Selle d'agneau origan et thym.

Information about domain Comando G

Daniel Landi and Fernando Garcia are childhood friends. They decided to crzeate Comando G in 2008 in the mountainous Sierra de Gredos region, not far from Madrid. The went on the search for vineyards planted in the most difficult, remote areas. Garnacha (Grenache) is their grape variety of choice, and their ambition is to make wines which rival the elegance and finesse of a Burgundian Pinot Noir or a Syrah from Hermitage. The 10-hectare domain is entirely biodynamic, and the vines aged 50 to 80 years, planted between 850 and 1,200 metres of altitude on soils of sand, granite, ardoise and quartz. The combination of well-draining soils, high altitude and a clement micro-climate guarantees a long growing season, wines which are not too high in alcohol and extremely refined.
