A southern wine with character to spare! A few years' keeping will lend it yet more complexity. More info
Produced in a schist-rich terroir, this complex, deep cuvée is vinified entirely naturally. After several years' (highly recommended) keeping, the wine reveals notes of black olives, tobacco, small berries, very ripe black berries and roasting.
Created in the mid-1990s, today Clos Fantine is run by a sibling team; Corine, Carole and Olivier Andrieu took up the mantle from their father. Driven by their respect for the environment, they tend their vines with a view to them producing deep and expressive wines. In the cellar the wines are raised in concrete tanks to preserve their freshness and the identity of the grape varietals.
