  • What the experts say...

"Reconnaissable à sa couleur d'un rubis profond, il exhale un nez de fumé, de goudron, de truffe, de cassis et de tabac. Dès l'attaque, il séduit par sa douceur. L'ensemble étayé par une faible acidité, déploie une finale mûre et riche, nuancée de fumé. Source : R. Parker (03/02)

    The wine

La Tour Haut Brion is a classic, elegant, thoroughbred Pessac. Its bouquet develops aromas of cigar boxes, undergrowth and blackberry jam. Beautifully direct, well-balanced and delicate in the mouth. A truly great wine, now incorporated into La Mission Haut-Brion.

Information about domain Château La Tour Haut-Brion

Bought out by the owners of Châteaux Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion, La Tour Haut-Brion was the smallest of the red Graves crus classés in terms of vineyard area. Production ended with the 2005 vintage; the vineyards were then devoted to the production of Château La Mission Haut-Brion. La Tour Haut-Brion was one of Pessac-Léognan's most sought-after reds. Never the most demonstrative of wines, it has always produced elegant, thoroughbred wines which age gracefully.
