  • What the experts say...

"botrytis-rich bouquet with lemon thyme, honey and spice, with just a touch of alcoholic warmth denying it the clarity it deserves. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry with notes of apricot and white peach emerging with a few swirls of the glass. It offers a pleasing viscosity and volume in the mouth" N. Martin (02/2013)

    The wine

This cru classé produces a superb Sauternes with a fairly high level of liqueur. The wine itself, however, is perfectly balanced with superb freshness. The bouquet produces aromas of exotic fruit, candied lemon and honey. The mouthfeel is superb, elegant and precise. With age, the colour develops towards old gold, then bronze, with the nose developing aromas of saffron-like spices.

Information about domain Château la Tour Blanche (Sauternes)

Château La Tour Blanche once belonged to a Mr Osiris, who donated it to the Ministry of Agriculture in 1907. The property boasts not only a vast vineyard planted over very even soil, but also a school of wine-making and viniculture. Having long punched below its true weight, the domaine was significantly modernised with State funding.
