    The wine

Domaine Tollot-Beaut extends over 24 hectares at the foot of the Montagne de Corton in Chorey-lès-Beaune and boasts some top-quality vineyard plots. The property was created at the end of the 19th Century and is managed by three cousins, Nathalie, Jean Paul and Olivier. The vineyard is cultivated the traditional way, without using fertilisers, while green harvesting limits yields and allows the remaining grapes to fully ripen. The red wines are aged for between 16 and 18 months and the proportion of new oak, which is always in the minority, depends on the year. This meticulous approach throughout results in elegant and balanced wines of a very high quality and with a delightful personality. Unfortunately the majority of production is exported and it is difficult to get hold of these wines in France. Savigny-lès-Beaune Premier Cru Les Lavières has aromas of violets, roses, cherries and plums, and some gentle hints of wood. The intense palate is fruity, structured and balanced.

    Information about domain Tollot Beaut

This rigorous and long-term work means they can make elegant, balanced wines. The wines have a fine personality are of a high standard. Unfortunately, most of the production is exported and it is difficult to obtain these wines in France.
