In 1996, Vincent Dancer settled in Chassagne-Montrachet. His vineyard covers five hectares within the Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard and Beaune appellations. For ten years, the soils have been worked without any herbicide and the domain has been certified as organic farming (Ecocert) since the 2011 vintage. The wines are aged for 12 to 18 months in barriques. Vincent Dancer, who has today joined the elite of the most sought-after names in Burgundy, has turned out to be talented and creative, especially since he has admirably managed the élevage of his cuvées. His wines are remarkable, they are characterised by their great purity and finesse.
Vincent Dancer’s Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot is aged for 12 months in barrels then for six months in vats. This wine is original and of a superbly high level thanks to its density, its richness, its wonderful creaminess and its perfectly integrated élevage.
