Tout amateur de grand vin bourguignon ne saurait résister devant une telle élégance, une telle générosité et une si belle minéralité. More info
Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is quite a dark-coloured wine. It opens with a nose of soft black and red fruit, spicy notes as well as notes of violet. On the palate, it reveals wonderful concentration and velvety-smooth substance.
"Être sobre, c'est boire bon”, or “Being sobre is drinking well ". This is the Domaine’s motto, written on the label. It perfectly summarises the hedonistic spirit of these wines, full, concentrated, fruity but which are delicate and fine. The domaine was founded in 1954 following the marriage of Edmond Geantet and Bernadette Pansiot. Vincent Geantet now works in tandem with his son. The domaine based in Gevrey now has 13 hectares in villages, premier crus, and in Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin as well as its plots in Chambolle and Clos-de-Vougeot. It is a reliable and safe bet of the Côte de Nuits. Vincent's daughter, Émilie Geantet, is developing a parallel trading business.
