From a biodynamic viticulture, this cuvée was matured for 12 months in casks, following a traditional vinification. This wine is powerful and tannic with notes of prune, blackberries and spices. Its supple texture brings a finish that is long and pleasant.
Domaine du Sang des Cailloux was created in 1975 and bought by Serge Férigoule in 1990. As a sustainable winegrower, Serge decided to prohibit the use of chemical herbicides and artificial products. In 2003, his son Frédéric joined him to assist with cultivating the domain’s 17-hectare vineyard on a plateau facing the breathtaking Dentelles de Montmirail in the Vacqueyras appellation. Together, they decided to apply firstly for organic certification and then biodynamic. The reddish brown, clay-limestone and pebble terroir is primarily cultivated for red wine. For some years though Serge and Frédéric have also been trying their hand at white wine.
