Un grand vin rouge qui atteint son apogé au bout de 10 ans. A découvrir accompagné de gibier ou de viande rouge. More info
A fine red wine, this Hermitage pairs beautifully with red meat and game. In fact, this Syrah showcases an extremely full-bodied hue, a fine tannic structure coated with aromas and flavours of ripe fruit, almost jam-like. This grape variety comes from vines planted on south-facing granite hillsides. Traditional vinification is done in concrete and stainless-steel vats with punch-down and pumping -over. Barrel fermentation lasts about a month and the wine is then aged for 15 to 18 months in barriques. This wine reaches its peak after about ten years. So avoid opening it before 5 or 7 years…!
The family Domaine des Rémizières has been passed down for generations and will no doubt stay in the family for many more. In just a few years the domaine has changed significantly, passing from 4 ha of vines whose grapes were sold to the local negoçiant, to 35 ha and vinification at the domaine. Today, Emilie and her brother Christophe manage the parcels of vines that span over several communes: Mercurol, Crozes-Hermitage, Tain L’Hermitage, Larnage, La Roche de Glun, Saint-Jean de Muzols and Vion.
