Barolo DOCG Giuseppe Rinaldi

The wine

Domain Giuseppe Rinaldi is truly legendary. The founder of the domain no longer being with us, it’s Giuseppe’s grandson Battista who has ensured the future of the property, bringing his love for the terroir together with his talent for innovation. As well as owning some superb crus on the prestigious appellation of Barolo, this producer also makes a more ‘simple’ cuvée, if we can call it that…Made to be aged and crafted meticulously, this wine has all the features of something exceptional. Its garnet colour takes on almost a tile red hue, revealing notes of juicy red and black fruits like plum, cherry, and raspberry. Hints of spice and herbs introduce the flavourful palate, supple and structured by a fine acidity. This is a wine for a special occasion and it will pair well with regional dishes. Since it is made in only limited quantities, you won’t want to wait around!

Information about domain Giuseppe Rinaldi

The current owner of the domain, Giuseppe Rinaldi, can trace his viticultural origins back five generations. It was his grandfather, with whom he shares his name, who founded the estate in the 1920s when he bought some of the best vines in the Barolo appellation (Brunate, Cannubi, Ravera and Le Coste). After this, his son Battista undertook a significant task in developing the domain’s vinification techniques. Today, it is his grandson Giuseppe who, keeping to tradition and close to his terroir, manages the estate with great skill.
