  • What the experts say...

"The 1995 reveals gobs of kirsch and coffee in its nose, along with smoky, toasty, oaky notes. Medium-bodied, with smoky, black currant fruit, low acidity, good lushness, and a layered palate, this is a hedonistic, accessible Haut-Marbuzet to consume over the next decade. (...)" R.Parker (02/1998)

Information about domain Château le Sartre

Château Le Sartre dates from the 19th century and lies to the south-west of Léognan, near Château Fieuzal. Antony Perrin, who owned Château Carbonnieux at the time, contributed over the 1980s to the revival of this property near the Domaine du Chevalier, Château Malartic Lagravière and Fieuzal. Today the property is owned by his sister Marie-José Leriche and her husband, assisted by manager David Château (previously of Domaine Roumier in Burgundy). The vineyard has been entirely replanted, with the average vine age set at just under 20 for white varieties.
