A Sempé Armagnac distilled in 1942. The house owns a vast collection of vintage Armagnacs, the oldest of which was distilled in 1934. The cellar masters are tasked with selecting and bottling Armagnacs that meet founder Abel Sempé’’s criteria for aroma, roundness and length.

The distillery Sempé

Sempé is a trading house founded in 1934 by Abel Sempé, a future member of the Resistance Movement in the Second World War and later Senator for the Gers. Its eaux-de-vie are mainly from Bas-Armagnac, the appellation’‘s most prestigious cru. The range includes young Armagnacs, very old Armagnacs and vintage Armagnacs chosen for their special qualities.
