What the experts say...
"D'un rubis moyennement foncé, il se montre corsé, trapu et ample de carrure, avec des tannins présents. L'ensemble se distingue encore par sa profondeur et sa concentration, ainsi que par sa finale modérément tannique." Source : R. Parker (01/03)
Cos Labory's wines have a beautiful colour, a rich, complex nose and a typical Saint Estèphe structure.
Château Cos Labory's vineyard lies on the same hilltop as Cos and is planted with a mixture of traditional Médoc varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc et Petit Verdot. Under the direction of Bernard Audoy, the wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels that are 30 to 50% renewed each year. Disappointing for many years, Château Cos Labory has now regained its former quality. The vineyard is divided into three plots that are quite different in terms of terroir, consisting of gravel, limestone and clay respectively.
