    The wine

Domaine Bruno Clair was created by Bruno Clair after splitting his father’s estate, Domaine Clair-Daü. Established at the end of the 1970s, Domaine Bruno Clair has appeared among the greatest estates in the whole of the Burgundy wine region since then despite working very discreetly. In fact, this small estate of about 23 hectares, situated in Marsannay-La-Côte, is sought after for its flawless consistency and its production of the most intense and aromatic wines that can be kept for a long time. Its whites as well as its reds know how to seduce the drinker thanks to their precision, their directness and their transparency. Despite being able to enjoy these wines when they are young, it pays to store them in the wine cellar for a few years.
This 100% Chardonnay from Pernand-Vergelesses, situated close to the Grand Crus of Corton, is the definition of great tireless and traditional Burgundy whites. A touch of powerful lemon, stalled by the minerality of the limestone and the sweetness of white blossom, the wine is equally spiced by the juicy traces of white pepper and peach. Tasting this beautifully composed and vastly dense wine reveals the enormous potential it has for long keeping.

    Information about domain Bruno Clair

Bruno Clair is the grandson of Joseph Clair (from Domaine Clair Daü). He founded his own domain in 1979 in Marsannay before later inheriting some of the parcels from his grandfather's domain. The estate is thus made up of myriad, high-quality parcels, notably in Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis where some of the appellation's most prized vines are grown, both in red and white. Bruno Clair also cares for vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses, Aloxe-Corton, and Fixin.
Excellent maturation and precise vinifications help to best express these magnificent terroirs. The wines made here are very precise and fine, with no lack of elegance or intensity.
This range is broad and varied; the rosé and Bourgogne blanc cuvées will go nicely at an aperitif, whilst the grands and premiers crus can be served with your very best recipes after a few years in the cellar.
