The wine

Donated by Buffalo Trace distillery
Since its creation by William Larue Weller in the 1840s, the Weller brand has become a true phenomenon across-the-pond. Weller bottlings are so popular among enthusiasts and collectors that the brand has even had to set up a lottery-style system for the sale of its rarest expressions.
180 years after it was first founded and after receiving a huge number of awards, Weller bourbon finally made it to France through La Maison du Whisky. Easily identifiable by its deep amber hues, this first wheated bourbon reveals complex notes of vanilla, oak and cinnamon.
In the United States, the range available is much larger and features six additional bottlings not released on the French market: Weller Special Reserve, Weller Antique 107, Weller CYPB, Weller Full Proof, the new Weller Single Barrel and the Weller William Larue in the Antique Collection. Connoisseurs know how difficult it is to get your hands on all of these bottlings in the US.
Yet for the first time in this auction, the Weller range is available in its entirety, with the exception of the Antique Collection Weller William Larue. Each bottle is signed by Harlen Wheathley, master distiller at the Buffalo Trace distillery where this iconic bourbon is produced.
