Domain: Dos Victorias

This bodega run by Victoria Benavides bears the name of the former owner of the vineyard, Elias Mora. The domaine, which is a vocal advocate of barrel ageing, is located between the Douro and Hornija rivers and is spared the worst of the summer heat by its altitude (800m). The domaine's wines are all single varietals made from the Tinta de toro grape, which has been grown in the region for over 2,000 years and escaped phylloxera contamination. Its elegant, powerful and opulent wines are sought after worldwide.
