Domain: Domaines Henri Martin

Let's take a look at two of Henri Martin's marvellous Médoc domains: Château Gloria and Château Saint-Pierre, both in Saint-Julien. Gloria was founded in the 20th century, so isn't a classic classé, but it is still one of the most sought-after Médoc properties with pleasing prices. Saint-Pierre is a discrete but deserving 4th cru classé.

Château Saint-Pierre: This cru classé has long been the lesser known of the Saint-Julien appellation. It was bought in 1982 by Henri Marti, who succeeded in restoring the property and its vineyards to their former glory. It improves vintage upon vintage with a purity that it formerly lacked.
