Domain: Chateau Paulet

Maison Paulet was founded by Jean-Marie Lacroix in 1848 in Jarnac. The estate had produced cognac since 1761. Following its success, the house acquired other estates and moved to Cognac, to the La Couronne estate. Among others, it supplied the prestigious restaurant owned by the Troisgros brothers. Nonetheless, this success was not long-lasting and the house was bought by the Renaud Cointreau group in 1975. In 2002, Château Paulet was sold and turned into a bed and breakfast. The offices are now in Segonzac, at Frapin, the other cognac producer in the group. The Lacroix family continued to run the estate until the late 1990s, before Jean-Pierre Cointreau took over. The estate is primarily located in Grande Champagne and Fins Bois, but also buys from other producers in the region, notably in Les Borderies.
