Domain: Saint-Paul de Dominique References to Château La Dominique in Saint-Émilion date back to the late 17th century. It has belonged to the Fayat family since 1969. Clément Fayat has now handed over the reins to his son Jean-Claude. With an excellent terroir consisting of sand, chalky gravel and clay, Château La Dominique, located near Cheval Blanc, produces high-quality wines as a result of the great care invested in grape cultivation and vinification. The château has recently opened a spectacular new red-themed winery designed by architect Jean Nouvel. Clément Fayat, the château's owner, has also created the La Terrasse Rouge gourmet restaurant, enabling diners to eat between Petrus, l'Evangile, Angélus and Cheval Blanc on the roof of a new building.
