From one of the appellation's finest crus, this Meursault balances richness and minerality. More info

A well-known Burgundy property, Chanson Père et Fils spans 45 hectares of vines growing on some notable crus. This Meursault premier cru is a beautiful example of what can be made in this Côte de Beaune village, the Chardonnay used to make it enjoying ideal exposure on a south-facing slope.
The grapes are harvested by hand and thoroughly sorted before undergoing a gentle pressing that preserves the varietal’s delicate character. Vinification takes place in oak casks before the wine matures for 12 to 14 months.
In the glass this is a pale cuvée with notes typical of the Chardonnay grape (white fruit like pear, apple, and peach, as well as white flowers), alongside aromas developed during maturation such as vanilla, gentle spices, and nuts like almond and hazelnut. These notes introduce a palate that is perfectly balanced between depth, richness, and a lovely minerality.

Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières Chanson serve at a temperature of 12°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Mousseline de chou fleur à l'anis et au saumon, Quiche à la courgette et cœur de buffala, Tartare de saumon.

    Information about domain Chanson

Located in Beaune, the Chanson Père et Fils house was founded in 1750 by Simon Verry. It was then taken over by Nicolas Chanson in the 19th century, who developed the house’swinemaking activity and gave it its current name. It was purchased in 1999 by the Bollinger group; the vineyard now spans 45 hectares. The vines are grown organically, and the soils tilled; in the winery, a high proportion of stems is retained. The wines (especially reds) are of great quality and amply reward cellaring.
