Vintage description 1915 Bordeaux

Unlike the Burgundies, this was a mediocre year for Bordeaux wines due to both the repercussions of the war and vine disease that undermined the quality of the wine. The war caused many problems in the domains, particularly through the lack of labour. Rot and mildew also hit the vineyards. Little of the wine was bottled apart from the premiers crus. Same verdict for Sauternes wine, unripe and deprived of sap with an unpleasant acidity. No d'Yquem was produced during this vintage.
